The Traveller | Emma Burridge
Emma lives in the New England region of NSW and most of her creativity happens around her daughter Gretel’s nap time. Emma started painting as a kid with her dad, who was an abstract artist, but she really took to it during maternity leave when she needed a creative outlet [and a little quiet].
Emma doesn’t paint things exactly as they are, she’s more interested in capturing how a moment feels. Warm afternoons, everyday farm life, beaches, fish and brighter, playful scenes too. Some works are inspired by rural life and others are just fun, but they all come from ordinary moments that feel worth remembering.
This donated piece is a playful and fun depiction of a county scene.
