At twenty-four, Queensland-based artist Maddy Hayden paints with a sensitivity that belies her years.

Maddy’s work is heavily inspired by the Australian country lifestyle and all things that go with it, ranging from rodeos to road trains. Her practice reflects a generation re-examining rural identity through intimate storytelling rather than grand gestures.
